Product Care
Elizabeth Wright Fine Jewellery is handmade from materials of exceptional quality and designed to last a lifetime. We hope that these guidelines will allow you to maintain and enjoy your jewellery for years to come!
Care & Storage

Always remove jewellery before using any cleaning products or harsh chemicals. Additionally, jewellery with any delicate materials such as pearl and coloured gemstones should be removed before swimming, bathing, exercising or sleeping.

Store your jewellery somewhere safe and in a low humidity environment to avoid tarnishing. Storing jewellery in resealable plastic bags will help protect your pieces from unwanted moisture.

To avoid getting knots in your jewellery, always hang your necklaces vertically. When travelling, store pieces in individual bags to help keep them organized and separated.

Cleaning

Over time, everyday products such as makeup, lotion and soap will build up on jewellery and cause it to lose its sparkle. To remove this build-up, add a small amount of dish soap to a bowl of warm water and let your pieces soak for 5 minutes. Use a soft bristle brush, such as a paintbrush or old toothbrush to scrub the item gently. Dry completely before storing.

Should an item develop a subtle tarnish, a polishing cloth may be used to bring back the alloys natural lustre. Please avoid any acid cleaners and creams as they may seriously alter the finish on the piece.

For more delicate pieces such as pearls or porous stones like opal and turquoise, gently wipe them with a damp cloth. If your piece is intricate and complicated to clean, I would advise taking it to a professional jeweller.

It is advisable to have your fine jewellery inspected by a professional, annually, to insure everything is in order.

Feel free to contact EWFJ with any specific cleaning questions related to your piece.
